Habit, vegetative morphology.— Shrub, evergreen, 8 m tall. Branchlets older than one year brownish, glabrous. Lenticels on current year's branchlets present. Petiole glabrous, rough or grooved surface, 15–25 mm. Lamina ovate or elliptic or obovate, orbiculate (1:1), 16–23 X, 13–19 cm. Apex retuse. Margin entire or dentate (finement), teeth inconspicuous. Midbrid adaxially impressed. Secondary veins 6–9 pairs. Ponctuation abaxiallly present.

Inflorescences.— Thyrse, non proliferating.

Male flowers.— Cymes of order 1–2. Peduncles of order 1 13–22 mm. Pherophylls of order 1 at 8–9 tenth from the base. Peduncles of order 2 2 mm. Bracts linear-triangular, 1.5 mm. Male flowers 4 -merous, white. Calyx glabrous, 5–6 mm in diam. Corolla 2.8–3 mm, petals connate on, petals 0–5 % of their length. Apex margin entire. Rudimentary ovary pyramidal.

Fruits.— Fruit of another color than red, black or green (blanc), spherical.

Distribution, ecology.— South America, Colombia (vallée), 1000 m.

Flowering.— April.
