Edelweiss expo

Myths and Paradoxes
Exhibition - tour

19 May - 16 October 2011
Exhibition opens on 19 May at 18.00 on the esplanade of the Jardin d'hiver (Winter Garden).

The idea of a national flower for a national exhibition ?

The Botanical Gardens of Geneva and Zurich have a national vocation. The collections they house are of international importance. In addition to their missions of conservation, research, teaching and exploration, they periodically and respectively organise exhibitions which attract large numbers of visitors every year.
The idea of a joint, bilingual exhibition on the edelweiss, the emblematic Swiss flower par excellence, has enabled their desire for active collaboration in terms of popularization and visitor services to become a reality.
In this exhibition, you will find different insights into the myths and paradoxes of this small, silvery-white, downy flower, which we all think we know but which is actually full of surprises.
The exhibition is bilingual French - German, with a booklet in English

Enjoy your visit !

The exhibition is open daily 9.00-19.00
Location : Alpine garden, Avenue of Plane-trees, Terraces of medicinal and useful plants.
