Requests for information, loans, or digital images should be addressed to:

Loans

Specimens held in the closed herbaria (G-DC; G- BOIS; G-BU) are not available for loan. Outside of certain restrictions (specimens older than 1850, fragile samples, etc) specimens held in the General Herbarium (G) can be sent on loan to recognized Institutions, for up to one year. A formal written request on official stationery (by post or as a scanned and signed document) should be addressed to the relevant curator. An initial contact by e-mail may be made. Requests must be precise and have all the information necessary to facilitate the location of the specimens.

Digital images

Upon written request (by post or e-mail) we can provide images of herbarium specimens from the entire collection, including the closed herbaria, We ask that you provide clear and precise information for each specimen required and that the request does not exceed 15 specimens.

Information

Upon written request (by post or e-mail) specific information on our collections can be obtained, for example prior to requesting specimens on loan or digital images of specimens or in preparation for a visit to the herbarium.
