Different methods of the upkeep of the lawns

The Botanical Garden proposes, for the occasion of the cultural program linked to the “DIVERSITE(S)” exhibition presented in 2006, a demonstration of the different modes of upkeep for the lawns.

These methods illustrate the flexibility that is possible in the maintenance of the grass. This allows us to obtain better ecological conditions for the upkeep of our park, notably in:

diminishing the use of fossil-based fuels
reduction of noise levels
limiting the production of waste products

As well as:

an augmentation of the flowering surfaces
diversification of refuge zones for the wildlife
