The modules of Botalista

Botalista: a modular management tool

Botalista will be proposed in the form of interdependent modules, each of these modules covering the main business processes necessary for the management of the information of a botanical institute: nomenclature, field data, herbarium samples, les acquisitions, Index seminum, seed banks, etc..

This choice of module development brings many advantages:

   • each module is the subject of a specific development process: workshops to identify needs, specific specifications for each module and production by module. This approach allows both developers and users to concentrate on well-circumcised business processes and to obtain more quickly modules that meet all the needs expressed;

   • scalable application: each new module proposed will bring new functionalities;

   • application on demand: users will be able to install the modules according to their needs.
