Agreement between Municipality and University of Geneva
On 2 February 2010, in response to the need for closer working relations between the libraries of the University and those of the Department of Culture, especially the Library
of Geneva and the science libraries, Patrice Mugny and Jean-Dominique Vassalli, the Rector of the University, signed an agreement providing for increased mutual assistance between the
city’s reference centres.
Green Workshops at the Botanical Gardens and Conservancy
Starting again early March – Green Workshops for children aged between 8 and 11! Aimed at enhancing young people’s awareness of the plant and animal kingdoms, they include
a variety of projects – growing and observing desert-region plant-life, building a tit-mouse bird house, setting up a dried-plant herbarium, and much more. The Green Workshops
also provide an opportunity for sharing across the generations. Organized with the voluntary assistance of the Université du 3e âge (senior citizens university), they enable
retirees to pass on their experience to the young.
On Wednesdays, at the Conservatoire et Jardin botaniques (Botanical Gardens and Conservancy)
