Picture Library

The picture library works with researchers and the general public to make images of the collections available for consultation and dissemination. Two picture librarians manage the collections and assist users with image research.

The picture library contains around 80,000 b/w photographic documents and almost 20,000 in colour which can all be consulted on site. The fees for the use of the images cover the borrowing of the documents as well as reproduction rights. The costs of reproduction rights are the same as those of the Swiss Association for Image Banks and Photographic Archives (ASBI).
