For two years, every Thursday at 3 pm, the Genevan photographer Steeve luncker met Xavier, an HIV carrier. Every Thursday, he brought him the images from the previous week ; Xavier selected the one he liked most, explaining the reasons for his choice in a single sentence. Every Thursday, Steeve luncker handed Xavier his camera, inviting him to contribute actively to this project. These meetings continued for two years, up until November 1998. To coincide with the publication of a book on the series of photographs taken during these encounters, the Maison Tavel is presenting all of these images, that is, 95 contact sheets taken up to Xavier’s death, on a Thursday.
