Pewterware
Geneva was an important centre for pewterware production. The names of over a hundred local artisans are known. Different kinds of tableware from the 16th to the 19th century illustrate the diversity and evolution of culinary customs.
The wine pitcher and the platter present the most characteristic shapes of this pewterware found on all 17th century bourgeois tables.
