Édition originale d'un des pamphlets les plus violents contre Marie Tudor. L'auteur y développe un sermon prêché à Genève. Comme Goodman exclut l'exercice du pouvoir royal par les femmes, ce pamphlet est à l'origine de l'inimité de la reine Élisabeth pour Genève. Le contenu du pamphlet est pleinement approvué par William Whittingham dans sa préface.
