Biology : Erect much-branched, glandular, rose-scented shrub to 1,3 m stem. Most important species for production of geranium oil; many cultivars.
Ecology : Moist habitats in mountains, among rocks; 1500-2200 m alt. Mozambique? S. Africa (disjunct: N Transvaal, SE Cape Prov.).
