Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Shrub to 3 m or tree to 5 m tall, with fleshy branches and stems; leaves to ± 18 x 8 cm, oblanceolate, midrib beneath with a sharp keel to 1 mm wide.
Ecology : Rocky outcrops and exposed granite slopes; often also beside rivers; mixed deciduous woodland; 100-1400 m alt.
