Biology : Densely tufted succulent perennial with a large tuberous root; branches to 30 cm long, spreading or prostrate and trailing, obtusely 4-angled, 1 cm Ø; angles with very prominent tubercle teeth to 2 cm apart; spiny.
Ecology : Among rocks in stony soils in open bushland; 500-1100 m alt.
  Near E. vittata.
