Biology : Similar to A. indica, but usually much more branched, with a number of decumbent-ascending stems arising from the base, and seldom exceeding 50 cm height;
Ecology : Grassland; roadsides; cultivated ground; floodplain alluvium; black clay soils; pans and moist grassy dambos; rocky outcrops; miombo and mopane woodlands; often as a weed of cultivation and disturbed ground; ± sea-level-1500 m alt.
