Trop. Afr.
Biology : Monoecious pyramidal or sometimes straggling shrub or tree to 7,5 m tall or more, but usually 2-5 m, with symmetrical, frequent branching.
Ecology : Dry forest, bushland and thicket, on rocky ground, lava, limestone and porous soils; open Acacia woodland; sometimes forming dense stands; probably a good indicator of overgrazing; 550-1800(-2250) m alt.
