Biology : Semi-succulent plant; root tuberous ± 2 cm long and Ø; stem solitary, 3-4 cm long, cylindrical, fleshy, 3-3,5 mm thick; leaves on lower portion of stem scale-like to narrowly lanceolate, 3-16 x 2-2,5 mm;
Ecology : Miombo woodland and wooded grassland, by falls; savanna; ± 1400 m alt.
