Biology : Perennial herb with a tuberous root; stem 1, erect, cylindrical, simple, fleshy, 2-5 mm high, subterraneous; leaves 5-10, deciduous, in rosette at the base, slightly fleshy, sessile, elliptic, acute at the apex, cuneate at the base, 2-4 x 1,5-3 cm.
Ecology : Clearing in steppe savanna on rocky slope surrounded by open forest; 1050-1190 m alt.
  Near M. angolense.
