Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Erect shrub to 1,75 m tall; main stem thick and rather woody at base, branches few and spreading; stems deeply longitudinally grooved, prominently patent-tuberculate in young plants, upper branches ± prominently tuberculate; leaves unknown.
Ecology : Along top of limestone escarpment with very sparse Acacia-Commiphora bushland; ±300 m alt.
  Near M. stellatum , M. ellenbeckii. - Only known from the type collected in 1971.
