Biology : Much-branched evergreen tree 4-20 m, with widely-spreading branches; twigs relatively slender, with leaf-scar margins not or scarcely raised.
Ecology : Dry evergreen and semi-deciduous forest; rocky inselbergs in Brachystegia woodland; dense mixed coastal forest with abundant lianes, on dunes and sandy soil, with Brachystegia, Cynometra, Trachylobium, Albizia, Craibia, Mimusops; ± 20-500 m alt.
