Biology : Erect simple or branched annual, 10-30 cm; branches spreading, 4-angled.
Ecology : Floodplain grassland with Cordia, Hyphaene, Echinochloa; edge of swamp with Terminalia, Combretum, Pluchea, Nymphaea and sedges; in shade on ± clayey soil at edge of pond; 30 m alt. Somalia (fide F.T.E.A., 1994, not in Fl. Somalia, 1993).
