Biology : Perennial herb, 15-65 cm high; stems of 2 kinds arising from a tuberous root; short stems to15 cm high (or more?), branched, tetragonous or narrowly 4-winged; long stems stronger, muchbranched upwards.
Ecology : Treeless dambo or tando on black soils; ± 32 m alt. Only known from the type collected in 1935.
