Biology : Annual or perennial erect herb, to 25 cm; stem not or somewhat thickened, unbranched, rooting at lower nodes; simple or often branched further up, the branches ascending, decussate; internodes to 3,5 cm long, very short towards the apex.
Ecology : Mud of drying pools, moist humus-rich soil on rocks; 1344- 1920 m alt.
