Biology : Submerged perennial herb; stems creeping, slender and stoloniferous or occasionally thicker and rhizomatous, to 40 cm or more long, irregularly branched, rooting at nodes; leaves solitary or clustered into rosettes, linear; flowers white.
Ecology : Flowing water in rivers; still, permanent water; lake margins; water depth 0,15-2 m; associated with Nymphaea, Utricularia; 900-2200 m alt.
