Biology : Suberect herb or woody climber, 0,2-2 m, growing from a tuberous rootstock; stems annual or perennial; sterile tendrils simple to 5 cm long.
Ecology : Open or partly shaded places in woodland, among rocks; sandy soils (Kalahari sand), red sand, granite; 500-1600 m alt. Namibia, Botswana, S. Africa.
