Biology : Annual or biennial, erect or decumbent herb to 50 cm high; stem simple or branched from the base, the branches ascending.
Ecology : Woodland, scrub, savanna and grassland on sandy soils, fissures in granite rocks, roadsides, river beds, dunes; 800 m alt. Botswana, Namibia, S. Africa (Transvaal).
