Biology : Perennial herb, 2-60 cm high, with 1-several shoots erect or ± prostrate at base, from a rootstock; tendrils sometimes present, 0,5-2(-5) cm long.
Ecology : Brachystegia woodland; sandy and rocky soil; 900-1100 m alt. S. Africa.
