Biology : Dioecious liane 4-20(-23) m tall, climbing into trees by means 'of adventitious roots near the nodes; older stems with corky 'ridges.
Ecology : Evergreen rain-forest, forest edges, usually in wet places, gallery forest along rocky rivers; 750-1650 m alt. (1-200 m Mt. Cameroon). S. Tomé, Fernando Poo (Bioko).
