Biology : Perennial (or annual?) creeping, mainly epiphytic herb, to 10-40 cm long, sometimes forming mats; stems filiform, rooting at nodes
Ecology : Mossy tree trunks in forest and rain-forest, mossy stones in river beds, etc.; 450-2000 m alt. S. Africa [see K. Immelman, l.c.], Madagascar, Comoro Isl.; pantropical.
