Biology : Variable, ± robust, rough-hairy perennial; stems basally decumbent, herb, to 45 cm high; stems branched, wiry, often (like the rootstock)
Ecology : Damp places, watersides, sometimes in water; montane forest, bushland; 1050-3000 m alt. From Bioko (Fernando Poo) and Mt. Cameroon to E Africa (Afromontane).
