Ecology : Acacia-Commiphora bushland on sand over limestone; gypsum plains; stony slopes; 100-900 m alt. Polymorphic and ill-defined species except for its seed character (strongly muricate); near M. denhamii. Not in Ethiopia (= M. stipulosa). Socotra-Arabia.
