Biology : Shrub or small tree to 6 m tall, with swollen trunk and rather slender branches, and often branching low down forming a sparse, spreading crown; bark peeling in papery flakes; flowers appearing before the leaves.
Ecology : Dry woodland and bush, on rocky outcrops and on sandy flats. Botswana, S. Africa (N).
