Ecology : Evergreen rain-forest; along rivers; ridges; usually on sandy soils; 60-400 m alt. Vulnerable species. Distribution matched by several other species such as Belonophora ongensis (Rubiaceae), Oubangia alata, Cola semecarpophylla.
  Similar to C. philipi-jonesii.
