Biology : Tree 30-50 m, with a long straight bole to 3,7 m ?and to 1,2 m ?above buttressses; buttresses to 8 m high, thin spreading to 10 m at base; crown narrow; leaves glaucous and matt on
Ecology : lower surface; fruits winged (samaras), leaf-like. Rain-forest.; common together with Calpocalyx heitzii (Gabon); 1-800 m alt. One of the largest trees of the forest (Gabon). Can be confused with Irvingia species in sterile state. Fernando Poo (Bioko).
