Ecology : Grassland; Acacia-savanna, occasional among Themeda triandra and Cymbopogon plurinodis; stony, brown-reddish soil.; 100-1800 m alt. Very variable. S. Africa, Botswana; ? Guinea (fide Roberty, Bull. Inst. Franç. Afrique Noire 16 A: 1012, 1954).
