Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Shrub ±60-100 cm tall, or sometimes with the branches trailing and almost prostrate, branching mostly from the base.
Ecology : Brachystegia woodland; locally very common; grassy formations, steppe. Heavy-metal accumulator (B. Leteinturier & al., Belg. J. Bot. 134: 46, 2001).
