Ecology : Andropogon-savanna; wooded savanna; old degraded fallow lands; Brachystegia woodland; also ruderal; 1700-1750 m alt. Not in Flora Zambesiaca! – Considered as a synonym of T. digitata by Cheek in Fl. Trop. E. Afr., Tiliaceae (2001).
