Biology : Liane,glabrous,15-20m tall,climbing by adventitious roots on the slender almost unarmed reddish stems;leaves±entire,thin,with few white hairs,flowers with urticant hairs but not on petiole,petiole slender ca 10cm long;leaves mostly on short side shoots.
Ecology : Forests, primary and secondary; epiphytic; regrowth; forest gallery with Parinari excelsa; plateau with Salacia alpestris, Cissus petiolata, Justicia flava.
  475-1600 m alt.
