Biology : Large liane, with tendrils; young stem polygonal, 4-winged; leaf petiole 5-8 cm long, 2-winged, channelled above; blade oblong, 3-5-nerved at base; cymes leaf-opposed, shortly pedunculate, dichotomously branched; flowers in pseudo-umbels.
Ecology : Swampy forest; road sides; flooded riversides; clayey-muddy humus-rich soil; clayey-sandy, slightly humus-bearing soil.
  Near C. producta, C. silvestris (? a good species, discovered in 1962).
