Ecology : underground runners, or bushy shrub, to 5 m. Deciduous woodland, bushland and thicket, grassland with scattered trees, often on stony ground, sometimes on termitemounds; 700-1650 m alt. Namibia; S. Africa (Transvaal), Botswana, Swaziland.
