Biology : Much-branched dense rather straggling evergreen shrub, to 3-5m.
Ecology : Deciduous woodland, bushland and thickets, riverine forest; 650-1350 m alt. (E Africa) – Drier types of woodland or in thickets in river gullies, termite-mounds in Brachystegia woodland (Fl. Zambes. area).
