Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Tree, to 10 m; trunk 30 cm ; with pendulous branches; inflorescence cauliflorous.
Ecology : Termite-mounds in Brachystegia woodland, and apparently deciduous for about 3 weeks only, towards the end of December; 1500 m alt.; quite common in Western Province of Zambia; occurs berhaps in Angola (Moxico Prov.).
