Biology : Erect annual herb, seldom short-lived perennial, to 60 cm, often richly branched and then of a rather robust and bushy habit of growth.
Ecology : Sandy plains situated within mountainous regions; sandy shallow depressions; roadsides, dried-up river beds and water runoffs; rainfall c. 150-400 mm.
