Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Annual or briefly perennial shrubby herb, very ramose from the 'base, 60-150(-250-400) cm.
Ecology : Very humid habitats, generally on the edge of rivers or swamps, rarely in water, in secondary forest and once “in abandoned cultivated ground by river bank”, in savanna country mostly along rivers; 0-600 m alt.
