Ecology : Deciduous bushland, grassland with scattered trees, semi-desert scrub, riverine and coastal vegetation, sometimes on antmounds; 0-1900 m alt. (E Africa) – Wide range of soils (Somalia) – Rocky ravines, scree (Mali).
