Biology : Habit unknown, but probably an unbranched shrub 1-2 m tall; leaves congested terminally on stems, linear-oblanceolate, 28-80x2,5 cm, sharply acuminate, base very gradually tapering, but with an abruptly dilated petiole-base clasping the stem; inflorescence a dense terminal spike 10-15 cm long, erect; flowers 2,5-3,1 cm long, tube 1,3-2 cm, lobes c. 1-1,1 cm x 2,5 mm; fruit and seeds unknown.
Ecology : Forest.
  Similar to D. mokoko (with longer leaves, 75-110x7-10,5 cm and inflorescence sparsely flowered 45-75 cm long).
  Known from the type (Talbot 1532) collected in 1912, and probably 2 collections from Korup Natl. Park, Cameroon (Letouzey 15141, Thomas 5436), cf. Onana & Cheek, l.c.
