Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Herb 0,15-1,5 m tall; bulb to 7,5 cm Ø; scape erect, 0,35-1,2 m long, leaves to c. 60x5 cm; inflorescence with 50-300 flowers; pedicels 2,5-4,5 cm long; perianth segments oblong, 1-2-1,7 cm long with 3 or 5 green bundles in the middle; capsule 1,2-2,6 cm long.
Ecology : Woodland; bushland; wooded grassland; on black or red clayish soils; often on sand; 50-1520 m alt.
