Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Frond floating, ovate, 0,5-1,8x0,4-1,2 mm, with several 1-celled teeth along margin, pigment absent; air spaces indistinct, restricted to the area around the node; lower wall of pouch elongated to a ribbon-like appendage 13-8x0,2-0,5 mm, 1/4 to 1/2 as long as frond. Often flowering and fruiting.
Ecology : Pools, lakes, seasonal waters, not gregarious, often mixed with other floating plants, e.g., Lemna aequinoctialis, Wolffiella rotunda, or between emergent reeds; c. 1000 m alt.
