Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Erect shrub, or with pendent branches, sometimes scandent, 2- 5 m tall, or generally a tree 25(-33) m, with short bole to 40 cm, with low branches; bole slightly fluted.
Ecology : Rain-forest, also swampy or periodically flooded; gallery forest; creeks; secondary forest; rare in dry or transitional forest; (0-)600-1360 m alt. Fernando Poo (Bioko).
