Biology : Densely tufted branching perennial to ± 3 cm tall; branches to ± 40 cm long and much-branched from the base.

Ecology : Bare rocky outcrops growing in crevices and shallow pockets of soil with Actiniopteris australis, Myrothamnus flabellifolius; calcareous soil; 1000-1950 m alt. Not in Somalia (”Yemen“ = Portulaca wightiana).
