Biology : Very sparsely branched perennial herb, with a fleshy tuberous rootstock; stems 1-2, fleshy, to 8 mm thick, erect or subscandent to 80 cm tall;
Ecology : Red sandy soil in deciduous woodland and thicket or in open bushland; 60-1000m alt.
  Comprises 2 vars.
  One of the most common Monadenium in cultivation.
